- Solid software
- Always full of action
- Party Poker currently does not accept US players
Party Poker is a great choice for any poker player, whether you’re just occasionally playing for fun or a serious poker professional. It’s one of the most popular poker rooms in the world and features superb poker software, great support and most importantly a great choice of poker games.
Now is a great time to join the Party! With a very nice 100% bonus for new players making their first deposit (up to $500/£500), this is a great incentive to start playing on Party Poker today.
You’ve got a very generous 60 days to earn the bonus, which is paid out in 10 parts. Depending on what currency you’re using, you need to earn six-nine times the bonus amount in Party Points (more on those later).
When you make your first deposit you will be asked to fill in a Party Poker bonus code. Be sure to use EASIEST500 to be able to get the 100% match up to $500 instead of the usual 100% up to $100 bonus.
There’s plenty of choice on Party Poker, with Texas Holdem, Omaha and 7 Card Stud available. These come in a range of stakes – cash games from the micro limits of $0.01/$0.02 right up to $25/$50, sit n gos (SNGs) from $1 to $5010 and MTTs from $1 to $1060.
Party isn’t just about the Poker though. From the poker software you’ve also got access to sports betting, a range of casino games, Backgammon and Bingo, so plenty on offer if you feel like a break from the poker tables.
The Party Poker player incentive scheme is all based around Party Points. These are points that you earn every time you play poker with real money on the site. If you’re playing a cash game then how many points you earn will depend on the size of the rake but will be two points for every $1 you pay in the rake. For tournament (be that single or multitable) players, you will earn two Party Points for every $1 in fees.
So the more you play, the more points you earn. You can then use these points in the Party Poker store for a whole range of items which include electronics, clothing and even cars!
Not only that but there are various status levels you can work towards, from ‘Bronze’ to ‘Palladium Elite’. Each of these have progressively better offers involving bonuses, cashback and cash each month. Again it’s a matter of the more you play, the more they pay!
You’ll never be kept waiting long for a game to start on Party. It’s the second busiest online poker room in the world (the busiest being PokerStars) and at any one time has thousands of players logged on. It is therefore a great choice of poker room for professional and semi-professional players who need to achieve a good amount of volume each month.
As you’d expect from one of the world’s most popular poker rooms, Party Poker really does have excellent, well-designed and stable poker software. The lobby has been designed so you can access to your balance, Party Points and bonus information at a glance, as is access to the cashier for depositing or withdrawing money.
The Party Poker client looks great and plays even better. Multi-tabling players can choose to stack, tile or cascade their open tables with just one click, and can play up to eighteen tables at once.
If you’d like to customise the software, from any open poker table click on Menu>Themes, where there are seven you can choose from. You can also choose from four card decks and six card back designs.
You’ll notice that each player has an image. A nice feature of Party Poker is that you can either choose to upload your own image, or use one of the nineteen preset ones.
On the bottom left of the Party Poker lobby you’ll notice the ‘Bad Beat Jackpot’ ticker. You’ll also notice (unless it’s recently paid out) that it’s a large amount of money (at the time of writing it was a huge $92,000!). So what is it? Well it’s paid out in the case of a real bad beat – specifically, if you lose with four eights or better in one of the qualifying cash tables and if the hand goes to a showdown. I think you’ll agree there has never been a better incentive to lose!
The other feature I’d like to mention is the stacking console. This is for players who are playing more than one table at once and allows you to see at a glance what the action is across the tables and act accordingly. There is also access from the Lobby>Preferences>Multi-tabling tab for other helpful settings, such as the very helpful ‘Hot hands’ option which will alert you if at one of your tables you pick up a certain range of hands. These options make Party Poker one of the first choices for serious multi-tabling poker players.
Party Poker offers a whole array of deposit methods when you want to put money on your account. You can choose from Visa, Switch, Visa Electron, Maestro, InstaDebit, Solo, Mastercard, PayPal, Moneybookers, NetTeller, Ukash, Paysafecard, Entropay, Western Union, UseMyFunds, Click2Pay, ClickAndBuy, myCitadelWallet, Instant Banking, Bank Transfer and Bank Wire Transfer.
Whilst the minimum deposit is $25, make sure when you make your first time deposit to make it count as it will maximise how much of that poker bonus you can earn!
Party Poker has a well-earned reputation for providing world-class customer support. If you have any questions or concerns you’ve got three ways for getting in touch with them, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Firstly you can ring them (best of all it’s freephone/toll-free), or if you’d rather ‘speak’ online to an agent you can use the Live Chat facility, or simply send an email. They’re always very quick to respond and helpful in resolving any issues.
Party Poker is a big poker room with some big name professional players, who are part of ‘Team Party Poker’. They include Tony G, Kara Scott, Mike Sexton and Dragan Galic.
Currently Party Poker does not accept players from the USA.
